STRIKING WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
PR.com.mt
Unlike any of the other projects we had previously undertaken PR had a whole new challenge for us. Both due to the complexity of the request as well as the size of work required.
The Website for the Press Release Distribution service required three different levels. Firstly a front-interface to allow visitors to see offers and understand what the service is about. This is mainly the initial face of the website and is directed at converging visitors and increasing sales.
Secondly a section that allows visitors to see other press releases; in what we call a newsroom showing the latest news releases that have been published on the service. Including a category breakdown, rss subscription and a daily email service.
The third and most vital section for the operation of the service is handling the user requests; that is allowing users to create accounts, and submit press releases. Taking the pressure off the staff and the work to the users. Promoting a Web 2.0 methodology where users create and generate the information; this gives the staff an overseeing role while they can focus more on conducting sales. The system automatically notifies the staff everytime a new account is created or a new press release is submitted for consideration.
The system also uses our first class content management system; which allows the PR Team to edit all information and images that maker part of their website; as well as edit press releases and user details. Through the system one is also able to track orders and sales that are taking place through paypal.
